What Girls Want - Sometimes it can be tough to decipher what girls want.  Although men and women are biologically of the same species, it can sometimes feels like we come from totally different worlds. If you’ve ever asked “What do girls want?” out of frustration, here are a few things to clue you in on what girls are looking for.

First and foremost, women want someone who is confident. Confidence does not mean arrogant, strong-arming, or having a macho demeanor, nor does it mean you lack fear or doubt in a given situation. Confidence means to accept to things as they are and to deal with them. In short, it is what it is, nothing more or less. People who are confident are not outcome oriented, meaning they are not afraid to step on a few people’s toes when they need to.  They know whats right for them and are not affected by what people think. People who are self confident are comfortable in who they are. Some people will like them, others will not, but it won’t matter to the self confident person. Having confidence is something that comes with experience. If you don’t feel confident, try setting a goal for yourself to talk to at least one new person a day. You don’t have to have a full out conversation – simply saying “Hi, how are you” should be sufficient enough. The more comfortable you get talking with people, the more socially confident you will be.

Women like someone who is passionate about something. Ask yourself, what hobbies or interests do you have at this point in your life that you are passionate about? Do you know how to play a musical instrument, or are you an artist? Hobbies or interests that you have reveal who are you and why you are unique. It shows women you are more grounded as a person and have more going for you.

Women want a guy who is positive, always looking at the brighter side of things. Have you ever hung out with someone who is always complaining or angry? How does that make you feel? People who are always negative are exhausting and not fun to be around. Women want to be around someone who has a positive energy around them. To be positive means to look at the up side of situations, to be light hearted and have a sense of humor when the time calls for it, to be an uplifting person who is an encouragement to those he is around. People are generally attracted to those who are positive.

Women like someone that can understand and empathize with them. Sometimes, she may be having a bad day and just wants to vent her frustrations to you. You may be tempted to advise her on how to feel or what to do, but instead, just listen to what she has to say and comfort her. Just being there and trying to understand where she is coming from is a great feeling for her.
